Surrounded by stunning rural views, Thornhill is a spacious three bedroomed cottage perched in the centre of this small terrace. The contemporary kitchen is stylishly furnished with good quality appliances and Belfast sink. There is the added convenience of a separate dining room and the cosy lounge has a superb feature fireplace.

All three bedrooms are on the first floor along with a fresh bathroom and second shower room for added convenience. West Lyham is located equidistant between Belford and Wooler, both being only four miles away.

Belford, often described as ‘The Gateway to the Secret Kingdom’ offers many facilities including a pub renowned for its delicious food, along with an impressive golf driving range. A further five miles east brings you to the prestigious coastal village of Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic fortress edged by a wide expanse of golden, sandy sweeping beach where Holy Island can be viewed. A short drive west of The Shillings is the friendly market town of Wooler, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling and walking, as the challenging route of St Cuthbert’s Way runs close by. Chatton Trout Fishery invites amateur anglers to fish without a rod licence in its picturesque four-acre lake.

The Shillings offers idyllic accommodation in a picturesque rural setting and makes an excellent base to explore the Northumbrian countryside and giving easy access to the Heritage seashore, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
